This section describes volume tasks that you can perform with a file-striping configuration, including the following:
You can create snapshots of striped volumes either manually or on an automated schedule. Use the commands as described in “Creating a Single Snapshot” and “Creating a Snapshot Policy”, respectively. Note that you cannot perform the other operations described in “Managing Snapshots” on striped volumes. Snapshot promotion occurs automatically as needed; you cannot manually promote a snapshot of a striped volume. The other snapshot operations are not currently supported for either automatic or manual execution.
You can display information about a striped volume's or volumes' member volumes by using the volume member show command. The command is available only at the advanced privilege level and higher. The following example displays all FlexVol and striped volumes in a cluster, then the striped volumes' member volumes.

You can move a member volume from one member aggregate to another by using the volume member move command; the command is available only at the advanced privilege level or higher. Both the source and destination member aggregates must be part of the same striped aggregate. To obtain a list of member aggregates, use the storage aggregate member show command as described in “Displaying Information about Member Aggregates”.
The following example moves a member volume named p_render_003 on a virtual server named vs0 to a member aggregate named striped_aggr_002.
node::*>volume member move -vserver vs0 -volume p_render_003 -destination-aggregate striped_aggr_002
